Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Irish data protection law, you have a number of rights over the personal data Swyft Software Ltd holds about you. Using them is free, and we will not treat you any differently for doing so.
This page covers data we hold about you directly, for example because you contacted us through this website. If your details reach one of our products through your employer's Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace directory, your employer is the controller of that data, so please contact its IT team first. We will help them answer your request.
Your rights
Access (Article 15)
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, what we use it for and the legal basis for doing so.
Correction (Article 16)
If anything we hold about you is wrong or incomplete, you can ask us to put it right.
Erasure (Article 17)
You can ask us to delete your personal data, for example when we no longer need it for the reason we collected it.
Restriction (Article 18)
You can ask us to limit how we use your data while you contest its accuracy, where the use is unlawful, or while we consider an objection.
Objection (Article 21)
Where we rely on legitimate interest, you can object at any time, and we will stop unless we have compelling legitimate grounds.
Portability (Article 20)
Where we use your data by automated means, based on your consent or a contract, you can ask for it in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
Withdrawing consent (Article 7)
Where we rely on your consent, such as for analytics cookies, you can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it, using "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
How to make a request
Use our contact form, choose "A privacy or data request", and tell us which right you want to use, with enough detail for us to find your records.
- Acknowledgement: within three working days.
- Full response: within one month of receiving your request.
- Complex requests: we may take up to two further months, and if so we will tell you why within the first month.
We may ask for proof of identity before acting, to protect your data from anyone pretending to be you. We will only ask for what we need.
Complaints
If you are not happy with how we have handled your data or your request, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission, the supervisory authority in Ireland: 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28, or dataprotection.ie. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
