Cookies policy

Every cookie this website can set, what it does and how long it lasts. Nothing optional without your say so.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They help a site work, remember your choices and, with your permission, tell its owner how it is used. This policy also covers similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage.

Your choice

When analytics are switched on for this website, we ask before setting anything optional. Nothing optional is set until you say yes, and "Reject all" is exactly as easy as "Accept all". We keep your choice for six months, then ask again.

You can change your mind at any time: (also at the bottom of every page).

We use Google Consent Mode in its basic form: Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics do not load at all until you accept analytics or advertising cookies. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of advertising cookies, whatever else you choose.

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary

These keep the website working and secure, and cannot be switched off.

cc_cookie swyftsoft.com 6 months Remembers your cookie choices.
Cloudflare Turnstile challenges.cloudflare.com The visit Checks that the contact form is used by a person, on the contact page only. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Analytics, only with your consent

Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, tells us which pages people read so we can improve the site. The data is aggregated, and kept for 14 months.

_ga Google 2 years Tells visitors apart.
ga<container ID> Google 2 years Keeps the state of a visit.

Advertising, only with your consent

Advertising is switched off on this website at present. If we switch it on, Google AdSense may show adverts, and Google's own consent message, which is certified under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, will ask for your choices first. These cookies may then be set:

Name Set by How long What it does
_gcl_au Google 3 months Measures how adverts perform.
__gads, __gpi Google 13 months Show adverts and limit how often you see the same one.
__eoi Google 6 months Helps prevent fraud and abuse.

Google acts as an independent controller for advertising cookies. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Managing cookies in your browser

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, the contact form may not work.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if we add or remove a service. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
